We started LineExpress because we were tired of cookware that did not last the year. A pan should be the one thing in a kitchen that improves with use — and cast iron is the only material that genuinely does.
Born in a working foundry
LineExpress was founded by a small team of cooks, designers and metalworkers in the United Kingdom. We work directly with traditional European foundries that have been pouring cast iron for over a century. Every pan in our catalogue is shaped in sand moulds, finished by hand and pre-seasoned with neutral oil before it ships.

Why cast iron, and why now
Modern non-stick coatings wear out and end up in landfill within a few years. Stainless steel is excellent for some tasks but rarely beats cast iron at high-heat searing, slow oven cooking or the kind of crusts that turn a simple steak into something memorable. Cast iron heats slowly and holds heat evenly — it is the closest thing a home kitchen has to a wood-fired hearth.
